Technology advancements over the last 100 years have created an environment where we no longer live in the disconnected, anonymous world of the past. Technology can help bring us together and build stronger communities like never before.

Lodestone Labs believes that by developing great products that focus on the user and user to user engagement, we can achieve our mission while simultaneously building valuable long-term customers.

Lodestone Labs was founded by Allen Romero in 2009 after leaving a six year tenure at Google. With more than ten years experience in the San Francisco Bay Area technology community, Allen decided to venture back into a start-up that would allow him to develop and launch products that combined his passion for technology with his love of bringing people together.

At Google, Allen worked on the operational launch and build out of the multi-billion dollar product Google AdSense from 2003 to 2005. He later worked on strategy pre-launch for Google Checkout then designed, led and managed an innovative corporate digital signage initiative that touched every Sales, Engineering and Operations team at Google. In 2008 he joined the Sales Engineering team and worked on key initiatives with Amazon, Wal-Mart and Nike. At Google, Allen filed 5 patents in the social, mobile and consumer space and was a 2006 recipient of a Google Founders award.

Prior to Google, Allen served as a Software Engineer at eTango, Inc. While there, he worked on the design and build out of the first family social networking site, FamilyBeat.com, launched in 1998.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
